- Well, there is no "DTMF surcharge" here, and there has never been.
- That explains why the PTT could silently move everyone to a system that
- allows DTMF. (once your local switch was upgraded you received a
- letter that explained that you could now set your telephone to DTMF if
- it was capable of it, and that some extra service only available via
- DTMF * could then be used)
